Adopt pet

Before you buy a dog or cat, just come round to our shelter. It hosts many faithful friends. You will find the one to love and take care of. They are different: big, small, ready to protect you anytime, friendly, lazybones, and restless. Whenever you adopt a pet, you save the three: a pet you give home, another homeless pet that will find a vacant place in the shelter, and a Human in your heart. Adopt, don’t shop, cause the true friendship is priceless!

About us

Please note: currently, the shelter is overcrowded and it does not accept new animals.

The homeless animal shelter and charitable foundation Sirius was founded in 2000 by Oleksandra Mezinova in the village Yasnogorodka, Kyiv region. After moving from one place to another, the shelter has finally settled on its own land, in the village Fedorivka, Kyiv region.

For over twenty years now Sirius has been taking care of stray animals in Kyiv and its suburbs. People at Sirius accommodate and treat them, vaccinate and neuter them, look for homes and families to adopt them. This way the Sirius team helps the city humanely solve the problem of homelessness.
